Dot is a Level IV Reiki Master with an additional certification in Violet Flame healing. Reiki is a Japanese form of energy healing. Your body's life force energy flows throughout your entire being. At times, this energy field can become imbalanced. Imbalances - or "stuck" energy - can result in the inability to utilize our unique physical, energetic and spiritual body to the fullest potential. Our energy points run through our body and are connected to 7 chakras. These chakras, or "wheels" in sanskrit, are energy centers within our body that correspond to our physical, emotional and spiritual well being. Reiki work allows for these chakras to open, giving energy the opportunity to flow, and our body's balance to be restored.
Reiki is a stand alone 60 minute treatment, and can also be incorporated into any massage. It is recommended to start with one full 60 minute treatment before doing it as an add on to the massage. Tuning Fork Sound Therapy can also be incorporated into the session as an add on treatment.
Reiki is also performed during Dot's Restorative Reiki Sessions. You can do this as a private 1:1 session or in a group setting. Please see the Yoga section for more information.
